The Virtues is an ongoing collection of collage illustrations. With this project my goal as an artist is to create beautiful and meaningful daily reminders, in illustrated form, to live a life of compassion and integrity, based on the virtues. My hope is that these illustrations will help rekindle the gifts of character we already possess and ignite those we wish to cultivate. 

This is a collection steeped in joy.

Living in coastal Florida, the unique flora and fauna are my perpetual muse. My latest collection of work, The Sound of Water, is an allegory for the transformation of sorrow into grace – illustrating truth and healing through the use of gentle imagery. The depths, rhythms, reflections and transformative qualities of water fascinate me, symbolizing life source and change, in my artwork. By dropping and pouring water into wet paint on canvas, I create fluid background forms and spontaneous textures that set the stage and narrative. I then sketch, paint, and collage images onto these dreamy landscapes. My hope is to enchant the viewer with an approachable and sincere style of painting, breathing magic into everyday experience.
